“I love the idea of a writers’ community in Texas and writers promoting writers.”
-Liv Hadden
A new member of the Writers’ League, Liv resides in Austin.
Scribe: In what genre(s) do you write?
Liv Hadden: Fiction. More specifically, my debut novel is a Suspense/Thriller.
Scribe: What authors would you like to have coffee or a beer with and which beverage?
LH: If she were still around, it would hands down be Maya Angelou. That woman is beyond phenomenal (eh, see what I did there?).
Scribe: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what book would you want to have with you to keep you sane?
LH: The complete collection of The Lord of the Rings. Though, if they’ve combined all of the Harry Potter books into one, I’d probably go with that.
Scribe: What have you learned from your association with the Writers’ League?
LH: I haven’t been here long, but upon discovery that it even existed, I was immediately excited. I love the idea of a writer’s community in Texas and writers promoting writers.
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
LH: Hopefully, somewhere as wonderful and magical as Hobbiton.
Scribe: Here at the Writers’ League, we love sharing book recommendations. What’s one Texas-related book that has come out within the past year that you couldn’t put down?
LH: Confession: I didn’t read any Texas related books that just came out last year! I look forward to exposure and getting recommendations via WLT.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world? An opportunity for blatant self-promotion!
LH: Thank you for the opportunity to self-promote. My debut novel, In the Mind of Revenge, comes out March 5 (which is also my birthday)! I also write a blog for DIY/beginning authors which can be found at http://livhadden.com. Even better, I give away free stuff every month. Because free stuff is AWESOME! If you’re a fellow tweep, find me at http://twitter.com/liv_celese, and I’ll follow you back. I’m so excited about beginning this journey and can’t wait to start meeting and reading other Texas authors.
