Scribe: In what genre(s) do you write?
Elizabeth Thomas: Historical romance, romantic suspense, fantasy, YA, and contemporary fiction.
Scribe: What authors would you like to have coffee or a beer with and which beverage?
ET: Recently, I have been fortunate enough to have had drinks with Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, co-authors of the Pendergast series. They are my favorite authors even though I don’t write in their genre, and they are genuinely wonderful human beings.
Scribe: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what book would you want to have with you to keep you sane?
ET: Book of the Dead by Preston and Child.
Scribe: What have you learned from your association with the Writers’ League?
ET: I’ve learned that I actually can write, and that I actually can talk to editors and agents.
Scribe: Where do you see your writing taking you (or you taking it) in the future?
ET: I would love, like most every other writer, to be able to make a comfortable living strictly by writing fiction full time. I will try not to hold my breath or quit my day job, though.
Scribe: Is there anything else about you that you would like to share with the world? An opportunity for blatant self-promotion!
ET: My historical romance novel, Arden’s Act, has just been released as a trade paperback from Keith Publications, and is available from both Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com.  It’s also available for Kindle. It’s set during the late 1600s in England and has lots of steamy scenes.
